Advisory Board

Comprised of experts from the education, technology, and non-profit sectors, parents, and students, the National AI Literacy Day Advisory Board aims to promote AI literacy as a foundational 21st century skill through education and community engagement. They also provide guidance to the Steering Committee, contribute to resource development, and encourage participation across all 50 states and internationally. Their work directly contributes to a future where every learner, educator, and citizen is empowered to navigate, use, and shape AI technology with confidence, safety, and critical thinking.

Kiryn Hoffman

Kiryn leads National Children’s Museum, a hybrid science center and children’s museum dedicated to sparking curiosity through playful, hands-on STEAM experiences. Located in Washington, DC, it serves more than 225,000 visitors annually from all 50 U.S. states and over 75 countries. With 20 years of leadership experience in organizations focused on scientific research and education, Kiryn has developed educational programs, led campaigns, and built community partnerships. Trained as a physical chemist, she assisted Nobel laureate James D. Watson in writing and editing his book, DNA: The Secret of Life, and published articles in Scientific American Mind, The National Academies Press, and Nature Nanotechnology. She lives in Washington, DC.
