Hour of AI with BrainPOP

BrainPOP is excited to join Code.org's Hour of AI, a new global initiative designed to help students and educators everywhere take their first step into understanding and creating with AI—and imagine what’s possible when they harness it for good. To help classrooms get started, BrainPOP’s Curriculum & Instruction team designed a ready-to-use hands-on lesson plan and resource kit featuring our latest Digital Citizenship topic, Artificial Intelligence.

In this lesson plan, students will analyze examples of AI in daily life and categorize them as a helper (beneficial), hinderer (problematic), or hero (life-changing) to critically evaluate their societal role using BrainPOP’s topic movie to gather evidence to support a claim.

Students can also join Tim and Moby as they take students on a journey to build background knowledge on what AI is, understand the impact it can have on their daily lives, and the risks that can unfold through an interactive video and related materials.
